Paragon People's Fair
On Saturday, August 30 and Sunday August 31 of Labor Day Weekend, from 9 am – 4 pm the Paragon Art Gallery of Crested Butte will host the 19th Annual People’s Fair, Arts and Crafts plus a whole lot more! If you haven’t been to Crested Butte to experience the homespun cultural experience of People’s Fair then you haven’t seen this awesome town at it’s finest! For the past 19 years the Paragon Gallery artists have hosted the this annual event, an eclectic mix of 70 booths selling unique regional arts and crafts, collectibles and antiques, preserved food from local gardens, music, and more in a fun, family oriented environment. Reasonably priced items make this fair affordable for everyone and a must for treasure hunters!
Always a big attraction at the fair is the vast selection of music CDs on sale from $1 to raise money for CB’s public radio station, KBUT. Crested Butte Friends of the Library’s have their annual book sale with over 200 sq ft of winter reading material! There will be plenty of food booths, and thanks to the efforts of The High Country Citizen’s Alliance staff and volunteers, you will have to attend the fair to find the best bake sale in the county! Other non-profits will also be on hand to provide information on a variety of topics, as well as raising money for their causes. Plus, Saturday will feature local live music at the corner of Third and Elk!
Vendors interested in displaying their wares should call the Paragon Art Gallery at 970-349-6484 or download the application below. Booths may be reserved until Monday August 25. Gunnison Valley Non-Profit organizations are offered 1 booth for free.
